Looks like a mass produced wine with an attractive marketing push. Bought on offer - this was cheap and rich and full bodied. Similar to the Yellow Tail merlot - and one to buy again. Verdict: Go for it.
A personal opinion and comparison of cheap supermaket wines.

Echo Falls - Tesco - Californian Merlot 2013
Echo Falls has a hideous label and shouts nasty. However this was very good for the price - I think less than £5 - A real eye opener and one to go for. Verdict: Buy at this price.

Frontera - Sauvignon Blanc 2013 - Chile - Tesco
Another Tesco cheapy - Pleasantly surprised how nice this was. Easy drinking. Verdict: Buy on offer.
Famille Castel - Grand Reserve - Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 - France
I cant remember where I bought this one, but it was less than £6 and is a nice French wine. Verdict: Buy at this price.
Bordeaux 2013 - Sauvignon Blanc - Saniburys
Its in the cheapo price range I inhabit and it is not that good. Its a bit like drinking a wine that is pretending to be Sauvignon Blanc. Overall a bit too astringent and offputting. However there are many worse. Overall: Buy if you have worse options only.
