Robert Mondavi - Cabernet Sauvignon - 2013
Slipped into my price bracket owing to the 25% discount on offer at Tesco. It cost approx £5.50. This was a little treat, above average and well enjoyed. Verdict: Buy at this price

Huntsman's Bay - Australian Merlot - Tesco
Basement price at Tesco for a good wine. Recommend this one. Verdict: Strong Buy

Winemakers Selection - Cabernet Sauvignon - Sainsburys 2013
Bottom end of my price range and was very pleased with this wine. Verdict: Buy

Banrock Station - Premium Selection 2013 - Merlot - Tesco
Looks like a mass produced wine with an attractive marketing push. Bought on offer - this was cheap and rich and full bodied. Similar to the Yellow Tail merlot - and one to buy again. Verdict: Go for it.
Echo Falls - Tesco - Californian Merlot 2013
Echo Falls has a hideous label and shouts nasty. However this was very good for the price - I think less than £5 - A real eye opener and one to go for. Verdict: Buy at this price.

Frontera - Sauvignon Blanc 2013 - Chile - Tesco
Another Tesco cheapy - Pleasantly surprised how nice this was. Easy drinking. Verdict: Buy on offer.
Famille Castel - Grand Reserve - Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 - France
I cant remember where I bought this one, but it was less than £6 and is a nice French wine. Verdict: Buy at this price.
Bordeaux 2013 - Sauvignon Blanc - Saniburys
Its in the cheapo price range I inhabit and it is not that good. Its a bit like drinking a wine that is pretending to be Sauvignon Blanc. Overall a bit too astringent and offputting. However there are many worse. Overall: Buy if you have worse options only.

La Nina Roja - Sainsburys
This wine is better than many similar looking Spanish wines and on offer under £6 is a bargain. Tasty, pleasant. Verdict: Buy
Banrock Station - Cabernet Sauvignon - Tesco
Bought this one from Tesco recently. I went for it as it was suitably cheap and specified the grape variety - Cabernet Sauvignon. Overall quite pleased at is was quite nice to drink. Verdict: Buy
56 Hundred - Pinot Grigio - Tesco
Horrid. This white from Tesco complements the corresponding Pinot Noir in being nasty. At least I can say I tried both in the set. I expect you will see this one permanently on "offer" Verdict: Cooking only.

Terres De Galets - Cotes Du Rhone
Good but not remarkable. A sub £6 from Sainsburys (of offer from £8). It was reasonable at best, not unpleasant but does not leave you wanting more. Verdict: I would buy it again at this price but no more.

Castillo San Lorenzo - Rioja
At last, a nice wine. Ruby, brown colour suggested this was a decent wine. It tastes good - mellow. This is a fine wine for the price and one I will buy again if it is's a cheap as last time.

Frappato - Italy - 2013
Not good. Bought this one on the 25% discount (for 6 bottles) at Tesco. It was priced at the top end of £6 before discount. It has that slightly nasty, cheap wine taste - though not completely bad. Will put in the fridge. I wont be buying this one again. Also notice that it doesnt show the grape variety. Might be a clue to avoid.

56 Hundred - 2013 - Pinot Noir
Yuk. I was disappointed in myself for falling for the trick that I think was pulled here by Tesco to persuade me to buy this wine. Ugly, rasping, acidic yet watery red. Verdict - Reserve for the tombola.

Albali
Tesco's reliable cheapo wine, always on offer (dont buy it at full price) although it wouldnt be a disaster. Rating: Worth buying

El Pinsapo Gran Selection
A good wine for the price. Less than £6 from Tesco when its on offer - as it often is. Easy to drink by itself and kind to the palate
Eternal Western Cape
Another Tesco deal for less than £6. Surprisingly good white wine and is recommended at the price.
Again this one is in my price range as it is on offer.
